Yes, home insurance is mandatory for all tenants, including those living in our properties. It protects you in the event of an incident (fire, water damage, etc.) and covers any damage caused to the property or its equipment.
🛋️ - 🇫🇷 🇧🇪 🇩🇪 🇪🇸 - Coliving & Flatshare: insurance required
In colocation housing, insurance is not included. You are therefore required to take out your own home insurance from the start of your lease. You must insure your room and your share of the apartment to protect the property against external damage or damage that you may cause as a tenant.
Examples:
Your apartment measures 100 m2 and has 4 bedrooms, you must declare 25 m2 (100/4) to your insurance company.
If your apartment is 130 m² and has 6 bedrooms, you must declare 22 m² (130/6) to your insurance company.
📄 You must send us a valid insurance certificate no later than the day of your arrival.
🛋️ - 🇫🇷 - Private apartments: insurance required
In private apartments within our residences, insurance is not included. You are therefore required to purchase your own home insurance from the start of your lease.

Your certificate must cover rental risks (fire, explosion, water damage...).
❗ What if I’m not insured?
Not having insurance is considered a breach of contract. In case of an incident, the costs can be significant and remain entirely at your charge.
Without insurance:
You will not be allowed to move into a colocation
You may face termination of your contract
And most importantly, you will not be protected in case of an accident or damage
