What should I do if I haven't received my deposit one month after my departure?

We understand that you're anxious to get your security deposit back after you've left. We know how important it is, and our teams are committed to getting it back to you as quickly as possible. Here's what to do if you still haven't received this refund one month after your departure:

📝 Check that you have followed the departure instructions.

The refund of the security deposit depends on the inventory of fixtures on departure. If repairs or cleaning have been necessary, this can take up to two months. Check that everything has been carried out correctly.

💳 Check your bank details

We can only refund your deposit to IBANs in the SEPA zone. Make sure we have your correct bank details to proceed with the refund. If you have changed your account or have not entered this information in your tenant area, please contact us.

You don't have a bank account in the SEPA zone?

Don't panic! Easy and secure solutions exist.

Many Colonies tenants open a bank account with our partner Revolut to easily pay their rent and simplify their purchases during their stay in France or Belgium.
