No, subletting your room is not permitted at Colonies, except with our prior written consent.
â Why is this prohibited?
Subletting (Airbnb, renting to a third party during an absence, etc.) is strictly regulated by law and by your rental contract. Apart from the fact that it's illegal, it poses several problems, among others:
Security: the hosted person is not identified in our systems in the event of an emergency.
Insurance: you are liable for any damage caused by a subtenant.
Cohabitation: this can disturb the balance and tranquility of the shared apartment.
Any occupation by a person other than yourself, on a regular or paid basis, without authorization, is considered an illegal occupation. This can lead to termination of the lease.
