What should I do if I spot bedbugs?

⚡ Immediate actions

Upon discovery:

  • Do not move your belongings to other rooms

  • Do not sleep in another room

  • Document the situation with photos

📱 Notify us

Through your tenant portal:

  • Create an URGENT request

  • Category: "Technical Support - Pests"

  • Attach clear photos

  • Specify affected areas

  • Indicate your availability for intervention

🧺 While waiting for intervention

Temporary measures:

  • Isolate your clothes in airtight bags

  • Wash your laundry at minimum 60°C

  • Vacuum thoroughly (then dispose of the bag)

  • Move the bed away from walls

  • Avoid sleeping elsewhere to limit spread. This will increase the cost of the intervention.

🔍 Who is responsible?

  • Before or at the very beginning of the lease If bed bugs were already present when the tenant arrived (or in the first weeks after moving in), the landlord or property manager is responsible for treatment.

  • During the lease If the infestation appears later and there is no proof it was present upon arrival, the tenant is held responsible and must cover treatment costs.

🧼 Intervention

Treatment must be carried out by a certified professional company. Based on the responsibilities indicated above, you can contact and have the company intervene directly. It is still essential to notify us.

Colonies can also manage the intervention according to the following terms:

  • Scheduling an intervention very quickly

  • Multiple visits will be necessary

  • Your cooperation is essential to treatment

  • A strict protocol must be followed

  • Monitoring will be ensured until complete eradication

  • Invoicing to tenant(s)
