The water changes color

šŸ” Problem identification

Your water can show different colorations, each indicating a specific problem:

  • If your water is green:

    • This means there are algae in your pool

    • This situation is usually caused by lack of chlorine

    • The filtration is probably insufficient

  • If your water is cloudy or milky:

    • Your water's pH is probably unbalanced

    • Your filtration system might not be efficient enough

    • Particles are suspended in the water

⚔ What to do?

Step 1: First analyze your water

  • Use test strips (HTH or BAYROL brand recommended)

  • Dip a strip in the water for 3 seconds

  • Wait 15 seconds and compare with the color chart

Step 2: Treat according to water color

For green water:

  1. Start by cleaning the filter:

  • Locate the filter in the technical room

  • Perform backwash for 2 minutes

  • Return to filtration position

  1. Perform shock treatment:

  • Pour 15g of shock chlorine per m³ of water

  • Distribute the product throughout the pool

  • Let filtration run 24h non-stop

  1. Add anti-algae:

  • Pour recommended dose (usually 0.5L for 50m³)

  • Distribute throughout the pool

  • Brush walls with pool brush

For cloudy water:

  1. First adjust pH:

  • If pH too high: use pH minus

  • If pH too low: use pH plus

  • Dosage: 100g per 10m³ to modify pH by 0.2

  1. Use flocculant:

  • Pour 5cl of flocculant per 10m³ of water

  • Let act overnight

  • Next day, vacuum the bottom

šŸ“± How to report the problem?

If these maintenance actions don't show results after 48h, report the problem:

  • In your tenant portal, section "Technical Assistance - Pool"

  • Attach photos of:

    • Cloudy water (general view)

    • Test results (photo of strips)

    • Actions already taken to restore pH level

    • Technical room (filtration)

āš ļø Warning

To avoid these problems, perform daily:

  1. Visual water check (morning or evening)

  2. Check skimmer basket isn't full/blocked

  3. Check filter pressure (needle should be in green zone)

  4. Check chlorine level very regularly with test strip
