My badge no longer works

🔍 Problem identification

  • Type of malfunction:

    • Not working at all

    • Partially working

    • Working randomly

    • Abnormal light/signal

  • Points to check:

    • Physical condition of badge

    • Affected doors (room, common areas...)

    • General or isolated problem

⚡ What to do?

  • Simple checks:

    • Test on different doors

    • Check badge condition

    • Try passing the badge on the lock several times

  • Immediate actions:

    • Use alternative access (via your Smartphone when possible)

    • Contact Colonies

    • Document the problem

  • Do not:

    • Do not force the reader

    • Do not damage the badge

    • Do not tamper with or modify the installation

📱 How to report the problem?

  • Through your tenant portal:

    • Category: "Technical Assistance - Locks"

    • Specify:

      • Type of malfunction (door, light signal or no signal...)

      • Tests performed

      • Urgency of situation

  • Photos to provide:

    • Affected badge (number)

    • Video of lock and its indicator lights

⏰ Intervention timeframes

  • According to severity and type of problem:

    • May require reprogramming, battery change, use of new badge

    • In some residences, possibility to give remote access to a flatmate in case of emergency

💰 Who covers the costs?

  • Covered by Colonies:

    • Technical malfunction

    • Programming issue

  • Tenant's responsibility:

    • Deliberate damage

    • Emergency call-out request

    • Loss or theft

    • Misuse
