I've run out of hot water

🔍 Problem identification

  • Check the extent of the problem:

    • Total or partial absence of hot water in the accommodation

    • Lukewarm water only

    • Unstable temperature

  • Points to check:

    • Individual boiler:

      • Pressure (between 1 and 2 bars)

      • Error lights on

      • Unusual operating noise

    • Hot water tank:

      • Heating indicator light on

      • Abnormal noises

      • Possible leaks

  • Emergency situation if:

    • Leak in the installation

    • Gas smell

⚡ What to do?

  • For an individual boiler:

    • Check:

      • Pressure (pressure gauge)

      • Error lights

      • If the boiler is turned on

      • If all tenants haven't simultaneously taken showers and temporarily depleted hot water

    • If pressure too low:

      • Slowly open the filling valve

      • Monitor pressure gauge until 1.5 bar

      • Close the valve

  • For an electric water heater:

    • Check:

      • If circuit breaker hasn't tripped. If it has, reset it. If it trips again, report the problem.

      • Heating indicator light

      • Thermostat setting

  • Do not:

    • Do not modify technical settings

    • Do not open access panels

    • Do not attempt complex repairs
