How can I drop off my keys?

🔍 Important to know before depositing

  • You will receive an email several days before your departure date that you indicated in your tenant space:

    • Collection point address

    • Deposit code

    • Keynest link to find the address and opening hours

If you haven't received an email 6 days before your departure, don't hesitate to contact us.

⚡ Deposit procedure

  • Before going:

    • Make sure to complete your check-out inventory

    • Check that you have all keys/badges

    • Check collection point opening hours ensuring it works with your departure plan

  • At the collection point:

    1. Go to the counter or key boxes

    2. Provide your deposit code

    3. Return ALL keys/badges received

📝 Important verification

  • Make sure to deposit:

    • Room key(s)

    • Building access badge(s) (if applicable)

    • Mailbox key(s) (if applicable)

    • Any other access means received (gate, cellar...)

⚠️ Points of attention

  • Don't:

    • Don't leave without depositing keys

    • Don't give keys to a third party

    • Don't leave keys in the accommodation

    • Don't wait until the last moment to organize

  • Consequences:

    • Non-return = fees charged

    • Delay = liability for costs incurred due to late deposit

    • Loss = replacement charged

Remember: Key return is a MANDATORY step for closing your contract and refunding your security deposit.

💡 Good to know

  • In case of problem (collection point closed, invalid code, lost keys, organization issue...) contact Keynest customer service then inform us immediately via your tenant space

  • Colonies verification:

    • Deposit is verified within 24h by our teams
